Autism & Addiction

June 24 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Addiction can happen to anybody and it is just as likely to affect the lives of autistic people as non-autistic people. People often develop an addiction if they are struggling to cope with everyday life or have particular difficulty in their lives. Addiction regularly refers to the overuse of gambling, drugs, pornography, the internet, technology, video games, and alcohol – but how do you know if it is a special interest, an obsession, or an actual addiction?

Come hear our speaker on this important topic – World Expert, Professor Tony Attwood.
Tony is a clinical psychologist who has specialized in Autism Spectrum Disorders since he qualified as a clinical psychologist in England in 1975. He currently works in his own private practice and is also an adjunct professor at Griffith University, Queensland, and senior consultant at the Minds and Hearts clinic in Brisbane, Australia. He has published several books published on emotion management, relationships and sexuality, and general advice for autistic children and adults.

Cost: Just $10!

This presentation will not be recorded – you must attend the live event. Spanish translation will be provided. Sorry no refunds
