Loading Events

Teens Take the Lead is about connecting teens on the autism spectrum & their siblings together to build friendships, self-confidence, and independence in the community.  It’s designed for teens 13-17 years with social challenges who can function independently in small groups and is inclusive of their neurotypical siblings.  

On Friday, March 24th we will meet at Claremont Chefs Academy located inside the Claremont Packing House to make Pizza & Limeade. Cost is $20pp.  At the event, teens will have the opportunity to: 

-learn to make the pizza dough from scratch 
-learn how to properly measure ingredients 
-learn what yeast is and does 
-learn to properly knead dough 
-shape and top their own personal pizza 
-eat what they made 

-socialize among their peers.  

*Please notify us ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE if your child has any food allergies. Without prior notice, we may NOT BE ABLE to accommodate your teen’s needs. 

Please have your teen 

·         Wear closed toed shoes  

·         Tie back long hair. 

·         Aprons to borrow will be available 

·         Recipes are available at the end of class. 

·         Per the Health Department, no food can be taken home and must be eaten in class. 

 Disclaimer: This program is not a drop-off event or a therapeutic option. Caregivers 18 yrs. old and older will not partake in the event’s activities but must be present during the duration, no exceptions. Space is limited. Please
