Our presenter will be Lisa Drennan, Lisa Drennan champions authentic inclusion with unique skills and talents in creating and maintaining inclusive settings for individuals with different abilities. Lisa is the founder of MERGE Inclusive Consulting in Massachusetts. She uses her 39 years of leadership and experience to support people and organizations to build more inclusive communities where everyone has a valued and meaningful role. In community recreational programs, “Inclusion” can have different meanings or be misunderstood. This webinar will break it down. Learn about the principles of inclusion, how to implement them, and create a culture where friendships can be fostered. We will spend time exploring the different participation models and the pros & cons of each. We will wrap up the session by reviewing the Top Ten Tips for accessing these programs. We will also discuss the new ways to have Inland Regional Center pay for social recreation services.
