Fun for all ages! This is a special price for Autism Society Inland Empire families: 2 hours $14 per child (including siblings). CASH ONLY Jumpers must wear grip socks, available for purchase there $4, or you can bring yours. Parents/caretakers jump for free. Toddlers under age 3 require an adult to supervise. Complete the online waiver to save time at registration. You will pay at the door. Snacks are available for purchase. All jumpers must be supervised by a parent or caregiver. Join us for a night of jumping fun in a safe, inclusive environment.

IEP Goals and objectives are a crucial part of the IEP process. They drive accountability, communication, services, and learning. Writing IEP goals, while based on data, is part art, part science. It’s also something many educators are not prepared for or trained in, and many families need help it determining what a "good IEP goal is." Special Education Attorney Elizabeth Eubanks will present writing meaningful and SMART IEP Goals. Spanish Interpretation Available

The Autism Society Inland Empire and Amazon will host a refreshing event this September. Come have a splashing good time at The Cove Waterpark! This is a private event for our special needs families, including individuals or families with a loved one on the spectrum or an intellectual/developmental disability. We have bought out the entire waterpark. The cost is $10 per person, children 3 and under are free.

The Rancho Cucamonga Group will be meeting at Ontario Mills food court at 6:00 PM to eat together then walk around and go to stores like GameStop, Hot Topic, Disney Store, Lego Store, etc. Bring spending money. The Coachella Valley Teen/Adult Group will be going Apple Picking on Sun, Sept 25th from 10am to noon. We will meet near the entrance of Oak Glen, Los Rios Rancho. Ranch admission is free, but apple picking, hay ride and petting zoo are extra. There is food to purchase for those who would like to grab lunch or a snack. This group is intended for ages 16 and up. *Participants who need support require a 1-1 family member or caregiver with them. Follow appropriate COVID protocols.

Brian Herritt is a retired police officer and the proud father of a young man with severe autism. Early in Officer Herritt's law enforcement career, he realized that a genuine lack of relevant training existed for public safety professionals dealing with persons with autism and special needs. In 2008, Officer Herritt was contacted by California Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) to serve as a subject matter expert for creating a statewide training curriculum for police officers. Parents and Proffesionals: Do you know someone who would have trouble speaking in an emergency situation? The Autism Society Inland Empire has developed a new Emergency Communication Board. This is a visual tool with pictures, letters, numbers, and the words yes and no that is being distributed to First Responders in the Inland Empire. Jek Barrozo OTR/L and Assitive Technology Specialists will assist individuals with Autism and family members on how to use and practice using this communication tool at this hands-on workshop. Please note: We will have a videographer filming and taking pictures at this event.
