Power Base Ball, Palm Springs Cost: $5 Meet at 6:30 at ticket booth (1901 E Baristo Rd, Palm Springs, CA 92262). We will go in as a group at 6:45 pm and find seats. RSVP by Monday, July 11th. *Participants who need support require a 1-1 family member or caregiver with them.

DropZone Waterpark

The Autism Society Inland Empire will host a refreshing event this summer. Come have a splashing good time at DropZone Waterpark where there’s fun for everyone!  This is not a fundraiser - this is an event for our special needs family. For individuals or families with a loved one on the spectrum. This is a buyout event - We have the entire waterpark to ourselves. The cost is $10 per person, children under 3 are free. Housing Options Part 2

We will work on answering questions regarding housing: 1. I want to leave my house to my son who has Autism. Can he receive 24-hour-a-day care? 2. What about an apartment complex just for people with Autism? 3. How do I prepare my young adult for living outside of the family home? What resources are available? 4. When my roommate passes away I will be homeless 5. If time permits, we will take other questions. 2 hours $18 per jumper (compared to $42). Jumpers must wear grip socks (available for purchase there or you can bring yours). Parents/caretakers are free if you are not jumping. Coachella Valley Pool Party

Palm Desert Aquatic Center 73751 Magnesia Falls Dr., Palm Desert, CA

The Autism Society Inland Empire is hosting a private pool party on July 23rd from 4:15 to 6:15 PM at the Palm Desert Aquatic Center. The cost is $2 per person. Children 2 and under are free. Note: Everyone must wear proper swim attire, no basketball shorts, and no cotton. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Families may also bring picnic food items in a small cooler/tote bag. NO alcohol or glass is permitted.

Jump Night at Get Air – Palm Desert

Big Air 705 N Main St., Corona, CA

Fun for all ages! This is a special price for Autism Society Inland Empire families: 2 hours $14 per child (including siblings). CASH ONLY Jumpers must wear grip socks, available for purchase there $4, or you can bring yours. Parents/caretakers jump for free. Toddlers under age 3 require an adult to supervise. Complete the online waiver to save time at registration. You will pay at the door. Snacks are available for purchase. All jumpers must be supervised by a parent or caregiver. Join us for a night of jumping fun in a safe, inclusive environment.

Autistic Adults Diagnosed Later in Life

For adults who were diagnosed later in life or suspect they may be on the spectrum. Join this confidential group facilitated by Dr, Matteo, a Clinical Child Psychologist who is passionate about helping the Autism community.

Person Centered Plans – Finding What Matters Most

Person-centered planning is more than just a buzzword, it is a shift that puts the desires and life goals of a person in the center of the support system. This presentation will discuss how to identify individualized services that develop and support the implementation of various life skills, including socialization, independent living, and employment. Dustlyne Beavers is First Choice Solutions owner and an Independent Facilitator. She brings nearly 10 years of Regional Center experience, including Service Coordination, Self-Determination Pilot Program Coordination, Service Brokering, and Independent Facilitation. She has developed and facilitated meetings and training sessions.
