Power Base Ball, Palm Springs Cost: $5 Meet at 6:30 at ticket booth (1901 E Baristo Rd, Palm Springs, CA 92262). We will go in as a group at 6:45 pm and find seats. RSVP by Monday, July 11th. *Participants who need support require a 1-1 family member or caregiver with them.
The Autism Society Inland Empire will host a refreshing event this summer. Come have a splashing good time at DropZone Waterpark where there’s fun for everyone! This is not a fundraiser - this is an event for our special needs family. For individuals or families with a loved one on the spectrum. This is a buyout event - We have the entire waterpark to ourselves. The cost is $10 per person, children under 3 are free. We will work on answering questions regarding housing: 1. I want to leave my house to my son who has Autism. Can he receive 24-hour-a-day care? 2. What about an apartment complex just for people with Autism? 3. How do I prepare my young adult for living outside of the family home? What resources are available? 4. 2 hours $18 per jumper (compared to $42). Jumpers must wear grip socks (available for purchase there or you can bring yours). Parents/caretakers are free if you are not jumping. The Autism Society Inland Empire is hosting a private pool party on July 23rd from 4:15 to 6:15 PM at the Palm Desert Aquatic Center. The cost is $2 per person. Children 2 and under are free. Note: Everyone must wear proper swim attire, no basketball shorts, and no cotton. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Families may also bring picnic food items in a small cooler/tote bag. NO alcohol or glass is permitted.

Fun for all ages! This is a special price for Autism Society Inland Empire families: 2 hours $14 per child (including siblings). Join the Rancho Cucamonga Young Adult Group for a fun evening at John's Incredible Pizza in Montclair! $25 per person includes all you can eat buffet and drinks, 3 ride tickets and 60 credits. Person-centered planning is more than just a buzzword, it is a shift that puts the desires and life goals of a person in the center of the support system. This presentation will discuss how to identify individualized services that develop and support the implementation of various life skills, including socialization, independent living, and employment. Dustlyne Beavers is First Choice Solutions owner and an Independent Facilitator. She brings nearly 10 years of Regional Center experience, including Service Coordination, Self-Determination Pilot Program Coordination, Service Brokering, and Independent Facilitation. She has developed and facilitated meetings and training sessions.
