Volunteer
We Value our Volunteers
The work of the Autism Society Inland Empire has been done by volunteers since we started – 30 years ago. We couldn’t accomplish this important work without our valuable volunteers. From assisting at special events, to coordinating programs, to updating our resources, we rely on volunteers each year to achieve our mission.
We welcome large groups, schools, scouts and families with children 14 years and older. Simply complete the application and waiver and we will add you to our volunteer community and email you when opportunities arise.
Working with Children & Adults with Autism
Volunteers who work directly with our population and not in the company of a board member will be evaluated by background screening.
Whether you have a few hours once a year, once a month, or once a week – we have volunteer opportunities for you! Check out the opportunities below, and complete the online Volunteer Application. Our Volunteer Coordinator will get back with you shortly.
Note: Everyone in the group must complete the application and waiver below.
Annual Volunteer Opportunities
Hero Walk for Autism
This is our largest annual fundraising event and we need hundreds of people to help with set up, clean up, booths, and more. The Hero Walk for Autism takes place in April every year during National Autism Awareness month.
Adventure Nights
Volunteers are needed once a month from 6-8pm to help supervise children and adults with autism at our Indoor Adventure Night at a local trampoline park in Corona. Must love children and be willing to be on trampolines.
Fundraising
Spend a few hours a month contacting untapped supporters, inspiring and educating them to the needs of the Autism Society Inland Empire as well as providing new insights to current fundraisers.
