CIE Incentives

Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) is not a service, but rather it is the preferred outcome for all of our employment services. Inland Regional Center funds CIE Incentive Payments to the Service Providers (vendors) of up to $3,750 for per individual that obtains and retains CIE.

The longer a Regional Center client stays employed at a job paying minimum wage or more in an integrated setting, the larger the bonus would be for the vendor.

The idea is to incentivize vendors to make the right job match for the best outcome.

This program was implemented by the California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and is outlined in Chapter 14 (WIC 4870(d)) of the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act.
