Sibshops for ages 5-8 and 8-13. Thrive Pals, our local chapter of Sibshops is for the siblings of children with special needs. Sibshops provides young brothers and sisters with peer support and information in a lively recreational setting. The goal is for siblings to meet other sibs, have fun, talk about the good and not-so good parts of having a sib with special needs with others who “get it,” learn, laugh, and explore! Sandy Feet Initiative was founded in 2017 in response to a lack of services for the siblings of children with special needs. We offer beach based recreational programs to address the emotional and mental needs faced by this underserved population using the Sibshop model. Our workshops are recreationally therapeutic and include lively discussions paired with surfing, boogie boarding and ocean “play”.

Founded in 1990, the Sibling Support Project is the first national program dedicated to recognizing, promoting and addressing the life-long and ever-changing concerns of millions of siblings of people with developmental, health, and mental health concerns. The California Sibling Leadership Network – Sibshops West

CaliforniaSibs is dedicated to the siblings of individuals with disabilities*. Sibshops are interactive, age-appropriate workshops for children and youth who have a sibling with an intellectual or developmental disability or life-limiting health condition. Sibshops offer brothers and sisters of siblings with special needs (collectively referred to as “Sibs”) an opportunity to meet and develop a sense of community in a fun, recreational setting. Sibs aged 8-18 are invited to attend and will be grouped with similar ages. Sibshops West offers Sibshops for three different age groups: Grades 3 – 5, Grades 6 – 8, and Grades 9 – 12.
