One of the most powerful parts of our programming this April is our “Growing Up With Autism” panel, featuring autistic adults sharing their lived experiences. This conversation offers families a rare and meaningful opportunity to hear directly from individuals who have navigated childhood, school, friendships, and adulthood through an autistic lens.
Our panelists bring honesty, humor, and insight as they discuss what supported them, what challenged them, and what they wish others understood. They offer practical guidance for parents, caregivers, and educators—reminding us how important it is to listen, to create accessible environments, and to value each person’s unique perspective.
Their voices highlight an essential truth: autistic individuals are the experts of their own experiences. By learning from them, we build stronger, more informed, and more compassionate communities for our children today.
